Privacy notice

This notice explains how North Wales Jobs Live uses personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

  • Employers: name, work email, company details, contact details published in your adverts, and billing identifiers held by our payment provider.
  • Job alert subscribers: email address and the keywords, location and category you asked to be alerted about.
  • All visitors: anonymous, aggregated advert view and apply-click counts (recorded against a rotating one-way session hash, not against you), plus essential cookies needed to keep you signed in.

We do not operate a CV database. Applications go directly to the employer named in the advert, so we never receive or store your CV, covering letter or application history.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

  • Contract: to create employer accounts, publish adverts, take subscription payments and send service emails about your subscription and adverts.
  • Consent: to send job alert emails and optional marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any such email.
  • Legitimate interests: to keep the site secure, moderate adverts, prevent fraudulent or discriminatory listings, and measure aggregate advert performance.
  • Legal obligation: to keep accounting and tax records.

Who we share it with

We use processors acting on our instructions: our cloud hosting and database provider, our payment provider (for card processing and invoices — we never see or store card numbers), and our email delivery provider. Advert content you publish, including the company details and application contact you enter, is public by design. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

  • Employer accounts and adverts: while your account is active, then up to 12 months.
  • Billing and invoice records: 6 years, as required for tax purposes.
  • Job alert subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
  • Aggregate view and click statistics: up to 24 months.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, erase or port your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Employers can view and edit most of their data directly in the dashboard. To exercise any right, or to complain, contact us using the address in your account emails. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

International transfers and security

Our infrastructure is hosted in the UK/EEA where possible. Where a processor transfers data outside the UK, it does so under UK-approved safeguards. Access to personal data is restricted, encrypted in transit, and protected by row-level database access rules.
